Baumgardner Holdings LLC Systems Integration Annex

Ingrain steady systems into
the working floor of every plant,
ANNEX

Baumgardner Holdings LLC is a computer systems design and integration practice serving grain, logistics and energy operators from 3981 E 3500 S, Vernal - 84078-9239. We join plant-floor data pipelines, control room dashboards and segmented OT networks into one dependable operating layer. The work is quiet, measured and built to run for decades the way a timber elevator annex runs through every harvest.

Six integration services, mounted like bin plaques on the block

Each service below is a load-bearing part of the same structure. Operators rarely buy one alone. A grain terminal that cannot see its dryer temperature in the control room will eventually ask for the whole annex, and we build it in that order: sense first, then display, then segment, then automate, then remember, then watch from afar.

B

Plant Data Pipeline Integration

We connect PLCs, weighbridges, moisture meters, flow meters and legacy serial devices into a single governed data path that survives restarts, brownouts and vendor swaps. Every tag is documented, every protocol is mapped, and the pipeline is designed so that a grain terminal in Vernal can add a new dryer without rewriting the whole floor.

D

Control Room Dashboard Engineering

Dashboards are built for the person holding the radio at three in the morning, not for a slide deck. We design control room screens around the decisions that actually get made, with clear alarms, honest scales and no decoration that competes with a running number. Screens are tested on site and revised with the operators who use them.

G

OT Network Segmentation

We split operational technology from business networks using managed switches, VLANs, firewalls and strict conduit rules, so that a compromised office laptop can never reach a running scale or a conveyor starter. The design is documented at the port level and reviewed with the plant before any change window opens.

K

Warehouse Automation Systems

From intake paperwork to outbound loadout, we automate the movement of grain, pallets and paperwork for warehouse and terminal operations. Barcode scanning, automated gates, inventory reconciliation and loadout sequencing are tied to the same data pipeline so counts agree everywhere at once.

N

SCADA Historian Deployment

We deploy historians that record every meaningful process value and keep it queryable for years, so that a failed bearing becomes a trend line and not a guess. Retention, time alignment and export paths are configured deliberately so engineers and auditors can both get what they need.

R

Remote Monitoring Rollouts

We extend safe, read-only visibility to remote elevators, pump stations and energy sites so a single operations desk can watch many locations. Access is authenticated, traffic is segmented and every remote path is built to fail safe rather than to open the plant.

Baumgardner Holdings LLC opens its winter integration window across the Uintah Basin and expects to schedule plant-floor work well ahead of spring loadout.

A practice built the way a timber annex is built

A grain elevator annex is not a warehouse and it is not a farm store. It is a working structure that adds capacity to a receiving house without disturbing the daily flow of trucks, samples and tickets. Baumgardner Holdings LLC designs computer systems the same way. We add integration capacity to an operating facility without stopping the plant, without replacing the equipment operators already trust, and without asking a control room to relearn its own floor.

Our work begins with a survey of what is actually installed. We catalog controllers, networks, meters and software, then document the gaps between what the floor believes and what the floor can prove. That survey becomes the spine of the whole engagement. Only after the picture is honest do we recommend a sequence of changes, and every change is scoped to be reversible.

Plant data, made trustworthy

Most plants already generate the numbers they need. The problem is that those numbers live in separate boxes, written by separate vendors, on separate clocks. Our Plant Data Pipeline Integration service normalizes those sources into a single stream with consistent units, consistent timestamps and a documented tag dictionary. When a scale reads light on a cold morning, the trend is visible in the same place the dryer temperature lives.

Control rooms that earn their screens

A good control room reduces the number of things a person has to remember. Through Control Room Dashboard Engineering we build displays that prioritize the running state of the plant and surface deviations before they become spills, blockages or downtime. Alarms are written in plain language, prioritized honestly, and reviewed until they stop crying wolf.

Segmentation, automation and history in one structure

A pipeline is only useful if it is safe to run. Our OT Network Segmentation work draws a clear line between the systems that move grain and the systems that move email, using managed switching, firewalls and documented conduits. Operators gain visibility without opening a path that a business network intruder could follow into a running starter.

On top of a segmented, instrumented floor we deploy Warehouse Automation Systems that tie intake, storage and loadout to the same facts. Automated gates, scanning stations and reconciliation jobs reduce the manual re-keying that creates disputes, and they keep the ticket window honest because every movement leaves a trace.

History that answers questions later

Through SCADA Historian Deployment we record process values with deliberate retention so that a question asked in March can be answered with data from November. Engineers can trace a failure to a specific hour, and managers can compare one harvest against the last without rebuilding a spreadsheet.

Many sites, one desk

Finally, Remote Monitoring Rollouts extend read-only visibility to distant elevators and energy sites, so a small operations team can watch many locations at once. Remote paths are authenticated, segmented and designed to fail closed, which means a lost connection never becomes an open door.

Why operators keep the annex standing

Systems integration is often sold as a project and delivered as a dependency. We take the opposite position. Every tag dictionary, network diagram and dashboard definition we produce is handed over in a form the plant can maintain without us. Our measure of success is a control room that runs a quiet harvest and calls us only when something genuinely new needs to be built.

That philosophy shapes small decisions as much as large ones. We prefer documented standards over clever one-offs. We prefer reversible changes over sweeping replacements. We prefer naming a device the same way the floor names it, because a system that speaks the language of its operators is a system that gets used. Steady grain, steady systems is not a slogan here. It is the specification.

If your facility is weighing, drying, storing, moving or monitoring a physical product and the data does not yet add up in one place, the annex is the right conversation to have. Reach the practice at finance@baumgardnercapital.autos or call +17166571021 to arrange a survey.
